Too often when a loved one dies, we are at a loss to know who to call. The following listed agencies may be able to assist survivors with benefit information or as a reference resource  Keep in mind that some of the agencies may require a copy of your loved ones Death Certificate and/or Social Security Number. This information is intended to be a guide only. Fellow retirees and family members may be your best resource to assist you through this trying time. 

San Diego City Retirement Administration $2,000 death benefit; and the possibility of:

Wells Fargo Plaza     - Continuance of monthly retirement payments

401 ‘B’ Street, Suite 400    - Continuance of cost of living adjustments

This is but a small list to help you get started. You should also locate all Wills, Trusts, Life Insurance documents, Powers of Attorney, military records, and bank and investment information.
